See the sticky.
>Since the site-wide hack, a lot of threads have broken. If you find a thread that takes you to a 404 page when you try to enter it, report the OP of the thread with "alacrity demon" as the reason, and the thread will be fixed as soon as possible by a mod.
You can also fix it yourself if you follow the instructions on the 404 page.

It's been around for quite a while but I don't see stuff from it that often. It was a LN, that got a manga adaptation (which is still running) and it got an anime about 2 years ago. I don't like the story or most of the characters much but I love the manga's artwork. It's not even just the cute girls and /kemono/ characters (though they certainly help) but also that awesome, old school looking attention to detail. It feels like it's done by the kind of artist that almost went extinct after the 90s. Here's just a few examples of his stuff.

At least this board is back, but one problem is that this board hasn't been really getting new post on a daily basis compared to the past when it was made years back

I feel like this board is almost nearing its dead soon. Also, some users who we're the in kemono fandom in the past have moved on their lives due to personal issues they face.

At least we're getting more kemono anime and more commercially manga (e.g. Beastars, Kemonogiga, Made in Abyss, etc) into the mainstream for sure.

No, its not that. It just that there is some Kemono content that dosen't get brought to an overseas market, and there are some users who wanted kemono content legally, but they face some certain restricton, such as geoblocking or stuff being sold to Japan-only.

That's why i had to leave.

>implying i wont shoot back
Still, i am not sure how are we gonna keep up with the Kemono fandom when someone artists such as Kishibe, Rikose, Koishi Chikasa who we're doujin artists in the past are making their successful professional debut with major companies. I feel like the Japanese companies who hire some of these kemono artists for professional work are making their content (e.g. manga, light novel, etc) exclusively to Japan-only

That's why i think Kemono artist and those who work independently who release doujinshi and are release an older and obscure doujinshi in English translation in the patreon are extremely much more open to the world. But when it comes of some kemono artists making their professional work debut with major companies, i feel like the CEO and the President of the major Japanese companies are seem to be too careless about the international fans, hence why Kemono doujinshi group are more open to the world while the Japanese companies are eviler and older and have some business ethic in regards on when it comes to their commercial products of kemono stuff on which they are indented to be sold either to Japan-only or worldwide audience.

That's why restriction and accessibility problems has been the main issues these days and i feel like Kemono commercial products that are distrubted by the major companies are being hard to license to the west.

>I feel like our community is on the verge of dying

Probably for the westerners who are interested in Kemono, but the eastern circles all seem to be flourishing. Hey, there's still potential for growing the kemono fanclub and original content here in the west, so why not encourage it? Bump up the drawthread, I just scrolled through it and felt nostalgic.Five years ago…

I don't buy the argument that it's because of Japan's refusal to sell abroad, and neither that the popular artists are moving on. People move on, that's what always happens. You may move on as well, but the original interest will still go on, just taking place in different shapes or forms - new artists will always feel inspired to develop their styles from it. You can always encourage it.

I've been thinking about how I could encourage and grow the style and awareness of Kemono in the west (in particular Europe), yes it's a niche of a niche interest, but that's why it's exciting~

PS. I'm so happy this board still exists, I thought it was lost in the 8ch fire. Ah, how I want to bring life to this community. Oh well.
>Probably for the westerners who are interested in Kemono
I don't even think this is true, I just think that right now there's no one unifying place to talk about it. Interest in kemono has always been pretty steady in the West if you go into circles that are exposed to it, but whether there's been a place explicitly for the purpose of talking about it, and popular enough that the community feels 'alive', that waxes and wanes, and I don't think that's existed in the West since Kemonono, which has been gone for most of a decade now.
I'm confident eventually though that somewhere will attain that same position.
Just letting whoever reads this know that a new scanlator site that specialises in kemono content should be going up sometime at the end of this month. https://cutepa.ws/

Here's their introduction:
Welcome to CutePa.ws! We are a group of volunteers who scan and translate Eastern doujinshi fan comics to share with English speakers.
We already have a scanner and some translators but always looking to expand. Stay tuned for an application if you'd like to lend your time and skill to us. We take pride in our releases, and if you do quality work, we would love to have you onboard.
Go to the forums to see our releases and discuss doujins with other fans. Always remember to support the artists and buy the originals when you can!

It's still in beta but you can request access to it on E-hentai forums if you want to look around.

Reason I raise this is because it's not just another release blog, but a far more functional site. Forums, image dump, single click doujin downloads, an event calendar, RP section if that's your thing and so on.

Might be a new standard to rally behind if there's enough interest built up. And they're very open to suggestions, their opinion on the fragmented state of the English speaking kemono community is even harsher than mine lol.

And lastly, an example of their work: https://exhentai.org/g/1586229/b7508cca9f/ (e-hentai link is dead)
