The adaptation is a TV anime airing some time in 2017, no idea what season.

If it does well, I suppose that'd lead to translations and plenty of doujins, eh?

I'd just hope that it isn't handed over to some company that would butcher it on bringing it over, if that happened. The old suits still have that 'oh, it must be for kids' mentality about anything animated. I'd imagine more so if they started thinking 'oh, animal characters, like looney tunes and mickey mouse, right? kids love those.'
