/ruins/ - Kemono Art (Archive)

The community has been rather dead since the original kemonono site went down. noones really been able to replicate its success. Im sure folks here are getting stuff from kemo8, already reserved stuff on alicebooks and hoping the proxy I have has a good success getting alot of stuff.

Eh, I feel like the site actually gotten more active, and the Kemono in Japan seem to be growing in popularity.

We Just lack a good place/center to have ongoing, but safe discussions.
Then again, with the furry community may have started to rot a second time, and the anti-furry are rising up in-respond, the furry community, at very least the old one as a whole, may be slowing down a bit. Perhaps that why people may talk about the Kemono stuff less, at least, on the public networks.

I do hear that if you want a good place for discussion, you can try to find some on twitters, but given the twitter's natures in itself, and some subset of western calling themselves Kemono, despite not resembling it enough, if not just plain western style, I am kinda reluctant to believe it.

I can't tell if you're refereed to this site or this board. If you mean the board, then even if it's getting more active, it's still a slow board and we're a busy people.

My thoughts, exactly. One of those pet peeves. Though I felt that some Asians (including even the Japanese) might had adopted similar elements from the westerns. Maybe that's just me, but I honestly don't feel confident about the artist who draw this picture on the OP's post.

Getting more people would be nice. However, a slow and steady discussion without tons of drama or weaponized autism is appreciated too. Many here just seem to like the art and don't go past that.

What were you guys looking forward to anyway? All the stuff I wanted is already sold out. I swear it's like as soon as anything pops up on Alicebooks it's already sold out. Hoping for resales after Kemoket 8 or the next Kansai Kemoket.
