What is this?
This is an archive of the /kemono/ board from 8chan aka 8kun, taken in November of 2020, before the images on 8chan/kun were removed.
Is everything archived?
No, some images and one thread (the feral thread) are missing or broken, the archive has been merged with an older one that had more images in it to create a more complete version of the board, however there are still some missing files. Also, video files, such as .webms and .mp4s are omitted from the archive, their thumbnails are visible however the video file was not saved by the archiver.
There are a lot of thumbnails that are broken.
Some images have broken thumbnails, however the underlying image is still present in the files. Try clicking the broken thumbnail anyway, it usally will load the full file/image, if you get a 404 or an error saying the address couldn't be found, the file is likely not in the archive.
What software was used to archive?
The archive was made with the software HTTrack Website Copier.
Missing thumbnails were re-generated for whichever files were available, however there are still file-less thumbnails, as well as entirely missing files.
The archive board is read-only, but you can cross-quote it from the main board using the usual >>>/ruins/895 syntax. So if you have or can find the missing content, be it files, posts or the dead external links' contents, you can mention it on the main >>>/kemono/ board.
With 8kun's new rules being in place, I highly recommend saving any content on the board that you want to keep, as it cannot be guaranteed to stay for long.
Keep doujins to either their own threads, or to threads the particular doujin is relevant to.
Try not to create a new thread for every possible topic, and USE THE CATALOG to see if the topic has already been created. Duplicate or redundant threads may be deleted or merged.

i was thinking recently but i was wondering how many Comic/Battle Manga that feature anthropomorpic animal as it's main cast and has a similar narrative structure like Dragon Ball, Naruto or One Piece, actually exist on the market.
I am asking this because for a long time, i was huge fan of the webcomic Live to Tell by Mariano and in wich, is indeed structured like a Battle Manga. After reading it, I wanted to search more of story like this with furries but after searching for a while, i had this impression it's there was few representation of it's kind since i could barely find one.
i think the genre i describe is so niche i doubt actually somebody tought about it and had a reflexion on the subject matter.

Full Bokko Heroes X (フルボッコヒーローズX) is a mobile gacha game along the lines of Granblue Fantasy and Wander Crown. The game has Gacha elements like a roll system, units, and RPG stats and upgrades. The gameplay is actually a bullet hell type top-down shooter, with different units having different shot types and abilities.

The game can be downloaded from either the IOS app store or the Android app store and following the links on this page will take you to it http://official.fullbokko.drecom.jp/ . It is of course free. There is no english release nor fan patch, so you may have to make a JP account to download it, but you can switch back to you regular account to play. Those of us not versed in moonrunes can download the google translate app, which will let you take screenshots and have them translated. The game is however pretty straight forward, so you can get by without it.

On a scale of 0 to 10, how fluent would you say your Japanese is?
I haven't sat down and studied it for a year now, so I've gotten a bit rusty. Looking at JLPT N5 guides, I'd say I was getting really close to passing something like that, so I feel like I was approaching a ≈2.5. But now, I feel like I'm at ≈1.5.
I was learning so much more when I studied vocab on a daily basis, but I kinda overloaded my anki deck, and I eventually didn't have enough time to go thru everything.

I took the initiative this spring to start a new book project with a theme of western kemono art, and for that I put together a varied selection of artists to create illustrations and comics together. I heard plenty of talk recently about the move to Infinity Next and I was wondering about the future of our board. How can we move all our stuff there before the jump to Infinity happens? I have seen that a board like /kraut/ has already managed to copy threads from 8ch to Infinity Next. I really wouldn't want us to lose all the stuff we have right now.
