Bloody hell man. I didn't even know this was a thing. I saw a link to this tweet, and when I opened it I got that error message. Ironically I was archiving this artist already, and upon seeing the image I saw that I had already downloaded this pic, so it looks like it wasn't blocked immediately, but using my crawler again out of curiosity it's like the tweet doesn't exist anymore unless I use a VPN.
It's super fucked up, because unlike the nsfw tweets that get blocked when your account isn't age-verified yet, where you can still see that some tweets are unavailable for you, here you don't even know the tweet exists at all. There's absolutely nothing on the timeline, nor on the media tab. It's completely hidden so you won't know that there's someone paid by the European Union wasting his time asking the muskrat to censor fucking furry porn out of all things. And unfortunately this also means that I have no idea how many tweets from other artists I never got to see, and I have no idea how to try and rescue censored tweets because downloading everything again is impossible.
The silver lining is that out of all the 284 posts with images from this artist, at the time of writing this this one was the only one that got censored, so it seems to be something rare enough for now, but it's absolutely depressing that this is what internet has become.
