I think it's time for us to create something of our own. With more practice, we can definitely be just as good as those artists! Just as authentic!

I've never learnt to draw, and all of my foreseeable free time is reserved for working on this weebsite, so I'll be cheering for you from the side.

I'm not an artist either, sorry. I tried to copy this picture of Lil' Pai a few days ago and I think it turned out nice-ish, I wasn't going to post it anywhere but I guess I can share it here to contribute with a little something at least.

Your redraw looks a lot less like a new-age toddler sloptoon, I'd actually take that cartoon seriously if it looked like this.

Thanks friends, glad you liked it.
Is there a way to transfer files from my computer to my "phone"?I am currently using a Huawei MatePad for draw.

I just host SFTP servers from https://github.com/drakkan/sftpgo on my PCs and use https://mixplorer.com/ to browse them, it's super-convenient.
But explaining networking and FTP, and TLS would be pretty painful, so syncing a folder with https://github.com/GermanCoding/SyncTrayzor + https://github.com/researchxxl/syncthing-android would probably be a way easier turnkey solution (assuming windows+android).

(Drawing videos unrelated.)

If you only want to copy a few files and they aren't too big, I saw this recommended recently as a quick solution without installing anything. Both the phone and the tablet must be connected to the same wifi, then open this webpage on both,
https://web.localsend.org/
It's not guaranteed to work though, if Windows considers that your network isn't secure (?) you won't be able to connect to other devices in the same network and this won't work, but it might be worth trying just in case.

https://x.com/cactasis/status/1962197990241955979 Here's a touching quote I found in this post for everyone.
Perfectionism is the greatest enemy of success. If you want to create something, then go ahead and create.

You should practice drawing facial proportions more. It's normal for beginners to not have good facial proportions, so don't feel ashamed of yourself.Perfectionism is the greatest enemy of art; how can you improve your skills if you don't practice?
>>2625
I also hope you can keep this painting, as it is an undeniable part of your growth.

As a beginner, you should first make a rough sketch (for example, draw a cross in the center of the circle), and then gradually add details to this sketch.

Honestly, find a more reliable tutorial. These tutorials don't even have any sketch lines about facial proportions. At your current skill level, trying to draw a face well without relying on a proportional sketch is like a baby who hasn't even learned to walk trying to run. I recommend this tutorial.https://sensei.pixiv.net/ja/lesson/1
Alternatively, if you're shameless enough, you can find an artist and DM him to apprentice under.

Pretty sure those are just timelapses by YSY's cover-artist or somebody copying YSY cover art.
I'm just posting drawing videos because
1. bilibili is full of them
2. I can't don't wanna draw myself
3. you can still pick up a trick or two from seeing other people draw. Back when I was only studying programming I got a lot of general ideas of how pure C programmers do stuff purely from looking at C (and LUA) code on GitHub, which came in super useful in the compiler theory courses.

The pencil tool in the tegaki applet is the kind that draws aliased 100% opaque lines like in mspaint, not the kind of brush that looks like a pencil that you can find in the digital painting programs.
Unless you're specifically going for an aliased look, I'd recommend using the pen or airbrush tool at ~80% flow for more brush-like lines.
And, honestly, if you're learning to draw, I'm not sure if a tegaki applet would be the best tool.
I've heard Aki Leopard on 4chan say that he loves drawing in garyc.me because the limited toolset keeps things simpe, and I'd imagine using tegaki is also kind of like that. But many assumptions/guides/ideas that apply to normal drawing tools would probably work differently in a more limited environment.
