[Hide] (76.3KB, 583x175) More so than "things" from 2010s, I miss the people and the culture from before everyone on the internet (including me ( ^ u^ )) got brainwashed by the flood of monotonous mass-culture drivel. But I've complained plenty about that, and my opinion isn't particularly unique or interesting.
As for works... There is a special feeling to older works, and I do like them for that in a way, but I don't necessarily like them more than the new stuff, and I look optimistically towards the future.
For example, in 2010 indie kemogame scene was pretty sparse and mostly consisted of kinetic (unbranching) visual novels, but in this decade we've got high-quality stuff like Hanaby and White Clothes and Echolocaution, and Konsairi, Konkon and Debicone, and those upcoming support-class kemogirl yuri games, and the last time I checked out #インディーゲーム on twitter, every second page had people showing off their experimental projects prominently featuring animal-people.
So, to sum it up... Nostalgia makes me feel sad and existential, so instead I prefer (hopefully) looking towards the future. But please keep posting your retro-styled works, I like them a lot.
By the way, if you didn't know, >>>/ruins/ is an archive of a board, which in itself is a successor to a website called kemonochan that was active from 2010 to 2014. You may be interested in it if you like old kemo stuff. Though, it's not particularly well-archived as far as I know.
