But that's the thing, according to the rules this is not allowed. They specifically say that you can't ask someone else to use their account for you if you're banned. Of course it's "legal" though, those are just rules, not the law, but what we're doing isn't too different from just making an account yourself.
I don't know why exactly you lost your upload ability, but from what I've seen their system is super broken, and they have permanent penalties for minor offenses, or even for offenses that aren't even offenses to begin with. For example, I've seen that many people lost their upload ability when e621 banned pictures with young humans. Those images were completely acceptable before, they banned them overnight, and instead of adding some kind of exception, they simply made it so hundreds of accounts that never did anything wrong couldn't upload images anymore, and asked people to submit an appeal if they wanted to have that stupid restriction removed. It literally doesn't make sense.
I think you want to believe in their system, but I really think it doesn't work. The feeling I have is that they don't care about appeals because they assume that most people simply make a new account, and the people who were banned by mistake luckily won't have any more problems again, and the people who want to start shit will simply get banned again.
